Compakto Comet Panel Returns lower the cost of edge banding and increase production.
The Comet Panel Return transforms your edge banding into a one person operation. The payback period of a Comet Panel Return is less than 18 months, even when the edge bander is used just 20 hours a week
Reduced waiting time increases productivity: the Comet Panel Return will automatically accumulate up to 10 panels on the roller conveyor at the end of a run, while the operator prepares the next job. The return will switch off after all boards have been returned. As soon as the next board comes off the edge bander the Comet Panel Return will automatically turn back on.
Comet Panel Returns are modular, reversible and fit any edge bander or profile sander. Made up of fully self-contained units that plug together, the Comet is simple to install, shift or adapt to another edge bander.
Compakto offers three options for Panel Returns:
- The Compakto Comet 24/15 is our most popular model. It returns panels 2400mm long and 1500mm across.
- Where there is little space, the Compakto Comet 24/10 extends only 1400mm from the edgebander track.
- For handling desktops and other big panels the Compakto 24 Super can return a panel of a 2400mm x 2400mm up to 50 mm thick when doing the short edge. With a footprint only marginally bigger than the 24/15, the "Super 24" is still a compact return system.

Comet Panel Returns keep up with any edge bander with a track speed up to 25m/min without increasing the gap between the panels.
Heavy duty rubber sleeving on the aluminium rollers protect the delicate surface of panels. The rollers run on sealed ball bearings for quiet running and low maintenance.
